Now I try to read as many real user reviews as possible before I buy anything. For example, I compared cotton, polyester and mixed fabrics for similar clothing items. I also pay attention to return policy and customer service response time. In the past I have wasted money on items that looked good in photos but felt cheap in real life. For daily use items I try to balance price, build quality and real user feedback.

Online shops that show detailed measurements and care instructions usually get my attention. Over the last months I noticed that some of my favorite items are not the most expensive ones. If the first order is a disaster, I prefer to move on and not waste time with support. Having a tracking number that works on common sites is very convenient.
